Legacy and Team Falcons have advanced to the quarterfinals of the Esports World Cup 2026 in CS2

Legacy and Team Falcons secured victories in the first round of the 2026 Esports World Cup CS2 playoffs.

In the first match, Team Falcons faced off against The MongolZ. Finn “karrigan” Andersen’s team swept their opponents—13-3 on Inferno and 13-9 on Dust2. In the other match, Legacy defeated Natus Vincere 2–0 (13–9 on Inferno and 13–2 on Ancient).

As a result, Legacy and Team Falcons advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2026 Esports World Cup, while Natus Vincere and The MongolZ finished the tournament in 9th–16th place.

The 2026 Esports World Cup for Counter-Strike 2 is taking place from August 12 to 23 in France. Initially, 32 teams competed in the championship, and as of this writing, only 12 participants remain. The prize pool for the LAN event totaled $2,000,000.
