LNZ on MIBR’s elimination from the IEM Cologne Major: “I think we could have performed much better.”

MIBR’s CS2 captain Linus “LNZ” Holteng explained in an interview at the IEM Cologne Major 2026 the reasons behind their loss in the decisive match against B8 Esports and their poor performance at the tournament overall.
On the match against B8 Esports
On Nuke, we were hoping to take more rounds on the attack. It’s a difficult map for everyone on the attack, but there were many moments when we couldn’t execute what we had planned. On Ancient, there were also rounds where we had the advantage. Yes, of course, it’s very sad right now.
On the reasons for MIBR’s defeat at the tournament
Maybe it’s the pressure, I don’t know. Perhaps it was a difficult experience for us, since this is our first Major. This is my first Major with MIBR. We’re still a very young team, and I’m proud of what we were able to show here. But I think we could have performed much better, and that’s sad.
On the team’s plans
We’re not happy with the result, but we’ll come back better and stronger—I can promise that.
