9z Team rifler Luciano “luchov” Herrera commented on the team’s elimination from the tournament, assessed their performance at the championship, and addressed the fans in an interview at the IEM Cologne Major 2026.
On the loss to FURIA
In the first half of Mirage, we lost a few rounds that we shouldn’t have lost. I think that’s when we let our chance slip away. After that, it felt like there was nothing we could do. We lost our momentum in that regard. This is a tough moment for us right now.
On our performance at the tournament
I think we still have a lot of tournaments ahead of us, and I believe we can perform even better than we are now. We’re looking ahead. Right now, we’re both happy and disappointed.
On the fans
We really appreciate your support and apologize for the loss. But I know you’re proud of us. Thank you.
Earlier, 9z Team concluded its run at the IEM Cologne Major 2026. In the tournament’s quarterfinals, Luciano “luchov” Herrera’s team lost to FURIA 1–2 and finished in 5th–8th place, earning $45,000 in prize money.
