magixx on Team Spirit: “Our team has definitely improved since the start of the year.”

Team Spirit captain Boris “magixx” Vorobyov shared his thoughts in an interview at the IEM Cologne Major 2026 following his team’s loss to Team Falcons and assessed the “Dragons’” progress this season.
On the loss in the semifinals of the IEM Cologne Major 2026
This match was similar to our games against 9z and G2. The only difference was the result—this time, we came up short. When you lose, you always have mixed feelings.
On the match against Team Falcons on Dust2
I think we gave up a few strange rounds while on defense. After the side switch, we had chances to turn the tide in our favor. However, we lost a couple of clutch rounds, and on top of that, we lacked clear communication in some situations. Things could have turned out differently, but in the end, we lost.
On Team Spirit’s progress
Over the past couple of months, we’ve shown that we’re capable of playing well—this was especially evident at IEM Rio and PGL Astana. Our team has definitely improved compared to the start of the year. Looking back on the season, I’d say we’ve made great progress. The only way for us is forward. See you in Singapore.
