misutaaa on 3DMAX: “We’re gradually getting better. And that’s what matters most.”

3DMAX rifler Kevin “misutaaa” Rabie spoke in an interview at BLAST Bounty Summer 2026 about the victory over FUT Esports, changes in the team’s playstyle, his current role, and the importance of advancing to the LAN stage of the tournament.

On the victory over FUT Esports

To be honest, we just followed the plan our coaching staff had prepared. The last time we played them, we felt very comfortable. Both the veto and the maps worked out pretty well for us back then, too. I think they might have expected us to pick Cache, but we did the opposite and picked the other two maps. I guess that came as a surprise to them—I’m not sure. But we’ve always had a strong map pool that we hadn’t shown in official matches yet because things just weren’t going our way. But we’re gradually getting better. And that’s what matters most. Everyone’s feeling better now.

On changes to 3DMAX’s playstyle

We do it all. We don’t have just one specific playstyle. We always try to mix things up and surprise everyone. Of course, we have specific plans for different teams, but we’re constantly changing how we play. We try to surprise people and not do the same thing all the time. I think that’s important. And, of course, we still use set plays, but it all depends on the situation. I can’t reveal everything.

On my play this season

Over the past few years, I’ve switched roles many times. I haven’t always played the same position. But now I feel much more comfortable. I’m playing exactly the roles I’ve always wanted to play. So, of course, I’m very confident in my game right now. I know that everyone trusts me and trusts the process we have in place on the team. So I’m happy with how things are going for me personally. But that’s not the most important thing. The most important thing is that we deliver results as a team.

On the coaching staff’s work

Everything has changed. We have a different captain, and the coach has changed as well. The analyst, however, is the same. I wasn’t on the team yet when it had that lineup. But overall, the coaching staff—the analyst, the coach, and the captain—does the bulk of the work; they work together. As a team, we also spend a lot of time preparing counter-strategies and constantly adjusting our plans. But otherwise, the coaching staff does the bulk of the work. We trust their plan, while also making adjustments based on how we’re playing.

On the Importance of Advancing to the LAN Stage

It’s very important. The victory we just secured was crucial for us in terms of VRS points. It’s clear that we’ve fallen behind significantly lately. That’s why it’s so satisfying to win this match. I hope we’ll put up a great performance in this tournament and get back in the running.
