Well, it was tough at first—there was a lot of work to do. There are a lot of rounds, and it’s a completely different game compared to what it was like at the academy. Different people, a different coach. But overall, I don’t even think about it anymore; it’s much easier now that some time has passed.

I think the most memorable moments were when we won a lot of tournaments on the CCT circuit, like LanDaLan #2. Again, there weren’t many emotions right after the finals, but when we beat teams we really wanted to beat, that felt good. So the moments of victory are what I remember most.

He gave me the whole foundation. He taught me how to play CS properly—and “taught” is putting it mildly. Every day you learned something new. So you kept improving, improving, improving. And Dima, in that regard—I have absolutely no complaints about him. He really gives you what you need to start playing, at least somewhat, at least somewhat well. I mean, without him, I don’t know—it would have been much harder.

I think I just had to step up individually overall back then. I mean, first of all, because Max left—and basically, the guy who played support was gone. And, to put it bluntly—really bluntly—he’d kill the people I didn’t kill, because he’d just go out and kill them. Without him, first of all, there were more opportunities for me to make plays. Second, the changes weren’t that drastic.
