MOUZ and 9z Team won their first matches at the Esports World Cup 2026 for CS2
MOUZ and 9z Team secured victories in their opening matches at the 2026 Esports World Cup.
In the first match, MOUZ defeated Lynn Vision Gaming 13-8. In a parallel match, 9z Team faced off against paiN Gaming. Luciano “luchov” Herrera’s team defeated their opponents 13-3.
As a result, Lynn Vision Gaming and paiN Gaming advanced to the lower brackets of their respective groups, while MOUZ and 9z Team will play to secure a spot in the Esports World Cup 2026 playoffs.
The Esports World Cup 2026 for Counter-Strike 2 is taking place from August 12 to 23 in Paris. Thirty-two teams are participating in the championship, half of which will advance to the playoffs following the group stage. The event’s prize pool is $2,000,000.
