
Natus Vincere won its match and advanced to the playoffs of the 2026 Esports World Cup in Counter-Strike 2, while Wildcard was eliminated from the tournament.
Natus Vincere faced off against The MongolZ. The Ukrainian team closed out the first map, Inferno, with a score of 13-5, but lost 9-13 on Ancient. The decisive map, Mirage, went to Alexi “Aleksib” Virolainen’s team with a score of 13–8.
Meanwhile, Wildcard played against paiN Gaming, winning Inferno in overtime (16–12) but losing on Nuke (3–13). The Brazilian team took the third map, Mirage, with a score of 13–7.
As a result, Natus Vincere advanced to the CS2 Esports World Cup 2026 playoffs, The MongolZ dropped to the lower bracket, and Wildcard was eliminated from the tournament, finishing in 25th–32nd place.
The 2026 Esports World Cup for Counter-Strike 2 is taking place in Paris from August 12 to 23. The main matches of the LAN tournament are being played at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, while the decisive matches will take place at the Accor Arena. A total of 32 teams are participating in the championship, competing for $2,000,000.
