phzy on Astralis: “Being a Danish team is part of our identity.”

Astralis sniper Lav “phzy” Smidebrandt spoke in an interview at the IEM Cologne Major 2026 about his adjustment to the team and reflected on the team’s identity.
On adapting to the team
Everything’s going well, but from the very beginning, I didn’t know what to expect. I think we’ve shown a good level of play and performed well at a number of tournaments. Overall, I’m satisfied.
On Astralis’ identity
Being a Danish team is part of our identity. We’re still a Danish team: our head coach is Danish, and so is the coaching staff.
On my individual performance at the tournament
So far, the tournament hasn’t gone very well for me.
