Obviously, there was some strategizing leading up to this match, since our last encounter took place on the same map during the Major. However, we shouldn’t forget that our roster has changed, and both teams have played numerous matches since then. Ultimately, this is just the first Bo1 match at the very start of the tournament, and I don’t think it’s worth overthinking these kinds of things. In any case, as a young roster, we still have a lot to learn, and we’re happy to start our journey with a win.

I knew from the start that he’s very mechanically gifted, and I had no doubt that r1nkle would be able to prove himself when given the chance. At the same time, this is only the initial stage of his adaptation, and there’s a long, difficult road ahead that we need to navigate so that both he and the team feel comfortable. Even though the score was pretty close in his debut match on stage, a result like that is a big deal for a rookie, and I’m happy about it.

Perhaps the final stretch of his time with Ninjas in Pyjamas didn’t go as well as we’d have liked, but I truly believe in his potential and that we’ll be able to help him unlock and realize it.
