r1nkle on settling in at G2 Esports: “I feel much more comfortable now.”
G2 Esports sniper Artem “r1nkle” Moroz spoke in an interview at the 2026 Esports World Cup for CS2 about his adjustment to the team, his personal training, and the team’s system and playstyle.
On adapting to the team
We feel pretty confident. We did well in the online stage; now let’s see how things go at the LAN. I don’t think I learned anything particularly special during the first stage; it was more of an extra opportunity to get used to the new team. I feel much more comfortable now than I did at the very beginning.
On the G2 Esports system
The system at G2 is quite different from what I’m used to, but I wouldn’t say it’s too complicated. You just have to learn a lot of new things—that’s all. I really enjoy being around these people, and everything’s going great for us.
On the team’s preferred playstyle
We’re trying to find a balance in our gameplay right now. Of course, I’m pretty aggressive on the server, but at this early stage, I’d like to focus first and foremost on fitting into the team’s structure. Once that happens, we’ll be able to experiment, and I’ll bring my own ideas into the process.
On my training
During this short break from competitive matches, I didn’t stop training in CS; I spent a lot of time on FACEIT and in Deathmatch mode. On top of that, I started going to the gym because sitting at the computer for 12–15 hours a day is getting pretty tough, and physical exercise really helps. Other than that, I just kept doing everything I could to stay in shape.

Yesterday, G2 Esports defeated M80 in their debut match at the 2026 Esports World Cup for CS2 in a best-of-1 series with a score of 13–11 on Mirage. Artem “r1nkle” Moroz’s team advanced to the upper bracket semifinals of the group stage and will face BIG today.
