Scope.gg statistics showed the dominance of Mirage and Dust2 in Counter-Strike 2 matches
The analytics portal Scope.gg published statistics on Reddit regarding map popularity in Premier mode and on the FACEIT platform for the period from July 6 to September 8, 2026. According to the data, Mirage and Dust2 together account for more than half of all matches played in Counter-Strike 2.
Mirage remains the most popular map in Counter-Strike 2. Its share on FACEIT is 28.5%, and in Premier, it’s 26.3%. Dust2 ranks second, with 23.6% on FACEIT and 25.9% in Premier. Thus, these two maps together account for more than 50% of the total map pool.
Statistics for the remaining maps are as follows:
- Anubis — 13.7% (FACEIT) and 8.1% (Premier);
- Ancient — 13.3% (FACEIT) and 11.2% (Premier);
- Nuke — 7.8% (FACEIT) and 10.5% (Premier);
- Inferno — 7.7% (FACEIT) and 11.3% (Premier);
- Cache — 4.5% (FACEIT) and 6.6% (Premier).
The least popular maps among players are Vertigo (0.64% on FACEIT) and Overpass (0.25% on FACEIT and 0.09% in Premier).
Earlier, data miner Avi “Thour” Thour called on Valve to remove Dust2 and Mirage from the active competitive map pool in Counter-Strike 2. In his opinion, the developers should completely phase out these maps.
