Team Spirit sniper Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov shared his thoughts after his team’s victory over 9z Team in the third stage of the IEM Cologne Major 2026. His message was published on the club’s Telegram channel.
Guys, our match is over. We’re really tired. It was three maps with overtime. It was a total grind. I can say that everyone did a great job. We didn’t let our emotions get the best of us. We played every round to the end. We tried to make a comeback—and we did. We lost our Overpass, [but] we came back on Mirage, we came back on Dust2—this just shows our level of play.
Yeah, we mess up a bit, make a few *** [mistakes], but that just gives us something to work on in practice. It was an unreal game; I had a blast. Every one of the guys did a great job. We gave it our all as a team and as teammates. We played just great, working with what we had. It wasn’t a blowout like last time, but we still did a great job. ...>

Team Spirit defeated 9z Team 2-1 in the third stage of the IEM Cologne Major 2026, securing their spot in the tournament’s playoffs. The first matches of the Major’s final stage will take place on June 18 at the LANXESS Arena.
