Team Spirit sniper Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov spoke in an interview at the Esports World Cup 2026 after his team advanced to the tournament’s quarterfinals, and also reflected on the “Dragons’” playstyle and their upcoming match against Team Vitality.
On advancing to the quarterfinals of the Esports World Cup 2026
First of all, I’d like to thank everyone who supports us. Second, we have another game tomorrow, and [we] will try to win.
On Team Spirit’s playstyle
We [don’t rely primarily on donks]; we just play, and Danya simply wins two eco rounds—he gets some hard frags with the “digl,” which makes it easier for us to play. Obviously, we have some issues in our gameplay, but we’re trying to fix them. But our game [isn’t] just about donks.
On the match against Team Vitality
We haven’t beaten them once in the past year and a half. It’ll be an interesting match. We’ll do everything we can and try to win.
Team Spirit defeated B8 Esports 2-0 in the Esports World Cup 2026 playoffs. Tomorrow, the “Dragons” will face Team Vitality for a spot in the tournament’s semifinals—their match will take place at 7:50 p.m. Moscow time.
