Professional Counter-Strike 2 player Owen “smooya” Butterfield commented on the emotional reaction of Monte sniper Aurélien “afro” Drapier during a match against Legacy at the IEM Cologne Major 2026. The esports player shared his thoughts on his personal page on the social network X.
I don’t want to make this all about me, but I got kicked out of Fnatic for taking a small sip from a bottle after missing an easy frag (my mic was off) during an official match. If I had done that, they would have actually sued me.
Fnatic removed smooy from their roster in February 2022. After that, the player represented the teams Into The Breach and The Witchers. A few months ago, Butterfield also temporarily replaced Selman “R4DYX” Ozan on the Sangal Esports roster.
