Ninjas in Pyjamas captain Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer, in an interview at the Esports World Cup 2026, discussed how the addition of Cache to the tournament map pool has affected the teams and assessed his team’s performance.
On Cache
Perhaps it’s played a bit more tactically now; overall, the game is evolving. Otherwise, everything on the map is the same as before. You have to try to control the “mid” or push into the plents using strategies. So I don’t think much has changed, but I’m sure we’ll see something new from the teams over the next three months. Right now, FaZe Clan is performing particularly well on this map. In the future, other teams will develop their own playstyles.
On Ninjas in Pyjamas’ performance
In my opinion, overall we’re playing well, although sometimes we might feel the pressure, which causes us to make mistakes in both individual and team decisions.
Earlier, Ninjas in Pyjamas defeated BetBoom Team at the 2026 Esports World Cup in Counter-Strike 2. The Russian team suffered a defeat, losing 3–13 on Nuke and 11–13 on Anubis, and finished the tournament in 25th–32nd place.
