SunPayus has left the G2 Esports CS2 roster
The esports organization G2 Esports has announced the departure of Álvaro “SunPayus” García. The official announcement was posted on the club’s X page.

SunPayus joined G2 Esports in July 2025. Over the course of 11 months, he helped the team win the BLAST Open London 2025, as well as advance to the playoffs of the IEM Cologne Major 2026—after the tournament, the “Samurai” moved the sniper to the bench and signed Artem “r1nkle” Moroz to replace him. The Spaniard’s rating in 2026 is 1.05.
Earlier, G2 Esports lost to Legacy in the FISSURE PLAYGROUND 3 — CS final with a score of 0–3 on maps. The team finished in 2nd place at the tournament and earned $160,000. The next event for the “Samurai” will be ESL Pro League Season 24, which will take place October 3–11 in Poland.
