Team Spirit advanced to the semifinals of the IEM Cologne Major 2026, while G2 Esports was eliminated from the tournament

Team Spirit defeated G2 Esports in the quarterfinals of the IEM Cologne Major 2026 and advanced to the semifinals of the tournament.
On the first map, Overpass, the “Dragons” lost 9–13, but closed out Dust2 with a score of 16–14. The decisive map, Mirage, went to Team Spirit after four overtime rounds—25–22.
Thus, Team Spirit has advanced to the semifinals of the IEM Cologne Major 2026, where they will face either Team Vitality or Team Falcons. G2 Esports, meanwhile, has been eliminated from the tournament.

The IEM Cologne Major 2026 is taking place from June 2 to 21 in Cologne, Germany. Thirty-two teams are participating in the tournament, and following three group stages, the eight playoff contenders have been determined. The Major’s prize pool is $1,250,000.
