Team Falcons rifler René “TeSeS” Madsen spoke in an interview at the IEM Cologne Major 2026 about working with Finn “karrigan” Andersen and his role on the team, and also reflected on stress during matches.
On working with karrigan
He makes us prioritize the team’s interests above all else. If one of our superstars has an off game, we shouldn’t dwell on it—we should just help the guys out. I think that’s exactly what’s helping us maintain a consistent level right now. Every match we play is a hard-fought battle. karrigan is mentally strong and passes that mindset on to the rest of us. We have a lot of faith in him. He helps us pull out victories in close matches.
On his role in Team Falcons
I’m very happy with my current role. When karrigan joined the team, he clearly outlined exactly how he wanted to use me on the server. I fully understand my responsibilities within this system. I think karrigan’s arrival has helped me reach a new level. Right now, I’m just trying to be as helpful as possible to the team. And, it’s worth mentioning, things are going pretty well.
On Stress During Matches
Lately, I’ve been feeling more stress than usual. I don’t know how it works. Yes, sometimes I can feel down. That’s because I’m completely immersed in what’s happening on the map. However, it’s important for me to reset and start the next round with a clean slate.
Team Falcons defeated Team Spirit 2-1 in the playoffs of the IEM Cologne Major 2026. Thanks to this victory, the “Falcons” advanced to the tournament’s grand final, where they’ll face FURIA today—their match is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Moscow time.
