Thour proposed bringing back voting for maps in the active CS2 map pool

Data miner Avi “Thour” Thour believes Valve should bring back the map voting system for the active map pool in Counter-Strike 2. He wrote about this on his personal X account.
In 2013–2014, Valve conducted an in-game vote to determine which maps the community wanted to keep. I think Valve should bring this system back for the Premier map pool. Let the community vote, instead of just removing the least popular map every time.
Earlier, data miner Avi “Thour” Thour called on Valve to remove either Dust2 or Mirage from the active competitive map pool for Counter-Strike 2. In his opinion, the developers should phase them out entirely, rather than removing the least popular map from the pool at the end of each season.
