The MongolZ rifler Zolbayar “Tikuak” In an interview at BLAST Bounty Summer 2026, Tsimedtseren talked about how he discovered Counter-Strike and became an esports player, and also reflected on his adjustment to his new team.
If I’m not mistaken, I first launched Counter-Strike in 2019. I played the most during the pandemic. Then I started spending less time on CS because of my studies and didn’t fully return until 2025.
At first, I didn’t think I’d become a pro player. When news broke online about the launch of The MongolZ academy, I wanted to test my skills and submit an application. After a while, I was accepted. I think that’s when I started taking CS seriously.
At first, I made a lot of mistakes, but over time I started to get used to playing at a high level. I think the training has really helped me. I’m still adapting to The MongolZ’s style, but I’m already playing with more confidence. Right now, I need to get used to communicating and not be afraid to make mistakes. I hope things will get better soon.
Yesterday, The MongolZ lost to FaZe Clan in the quarterfinals of BLAST Bounty Summer 2026 with a 1–2 map score (12–16 on Nuke, 13–7 on Mirage, and 8–13 on Ancient) and finished the tournament in 5th–8th place, earning $51,250.
