Vertigo will be added to the map pool for FACEIT’s ninth season

FACEIT announced the conclusion of the vote for a new map for the ninth competitive season—Vertigo emerged as the winner. The official announcement was posted on the platform’s X page.

It is known that the map won the poll by a wide margin, beating Train by nearly 22,700 votes. Vertigo will return to FACEIT matchmaking on August 5 and will be available as an optional pick. It’s worth noting that the standard Elo rating system will be active on the map.

Yesterday, July 27, FACEIT carried out a massive wave of bans—the platform’s administration blocked more than 12,000 accounts. The restrictions affected users who were smurfing and creating multiple accounts.
