Aurora Gaming rifler Ali “Wicadia” Haydar Yalchin shared his thoughts in an interview at the IEM Cologne Major 2026 ahead of the quarterfinal match against BetBoom Team, and also spoke about improving his personal stats and working with a sports psychologist.
On the match against BetBoom Team
I think our team has prepared well for the quarterfinals and got a great night’s sleep last night. We’re looking forward to playing at the arena. I think we’ve been given a favorable playoff bracket. I hope we’ll put on a good performance today and advance to the semifinals.
On improving his personal stats
With soulfly joining the team, I’ve gained more freedom on the server. This transfer has also had a positive impact on my teammates—they’ve started playing much better. I think I’ve been in good individual form lately.
On working with a sports psychologist
The sports psychologist really helps us cope with the pressure in the later stages of tournaments. She’s done a great job preparing us for today’s match—I hope it pays off.
