YEKINDAR on FURIA ahead of the 2026 Esports World Cup: “This year, we’re ready to come and show what we’re made of.”

FURIA’s CS2 rifler Mareks “YEKINDAR” Galinskis shared his expectations for the upcoming Esports World Cup 2026 CS2 championship on his personal Telegram channel.
Yeah, it’s the last day of training before we head to Paris. It’s actually really interesting to see how things will go there, because I’ve been watching some matches that look so cool in the qualifiers: it reminds me of old-school LANs, where you had to bring your own computer and all that. That’s why the EWC has always been top-notch—it’ll be interesting no matter what. I think—if I’m not mistaken—we skipped last year, but this year we’re ready to come and show what we’re made of… well, I hope so. Glad to see everyone—hi there, how’s it going? See you at the tournament.
The Esports World Cup 2026 for CS2 kicks off in just three days, on August 12, and will run through the 23rd. A total of 32 teams will participate in the event, competing for a prize pool of two million dollars. Mareks “YEKINDAR” Galinskis’s team received a direct invite to the tournament.
