Everything About The International 2026 Fantasy League

For The International 2026, Valve has once again prepared a fantasy league for players, with rewards for making predictions and building their own teams. In this guide, we’ll cover all the features of this year’s The International Fantasy League and break down the changes compared to last year.

The Fantasy League is an annual event that launches alongside The International Compendium. Players must create their own team from the professional players participating in the tournament. This year, unlike last year, users select two players each for the core and support positions from a single team, as well as one midlaner.

The goal is to earn as many fantasy points as possible, with the total depending on the performance of the selected players in tournament matches. The more fantasy points your roster earns, the higher your chances of receiving unique rewards, such as a Dota Plus subscription, a landscape token, a discount on a physical copy of the Aegis of the Immortal, and exclusive Immortal Tyrian Regalia items.

To participate in the event, go to the Dota 2 main menu and select the “Fantasy” tab. This will open an interface where you can build your team. The first step is selecting your players. Replacing them doesn’t require substitution tokens, so you can swap out your selected players for others at any time. Therefore, we recommend not worrying too much about your selection at this stage.

Each role has battle banners consisting of emblems. These elements determine which actions on the map will earn points and what bonuses apply to them. It’s important to consider the players’ current form and their statistics from previous tournaments to select those who are most likely to deliver outstanding results.

You are the coach of your roster, and this year you receive a personal title that applies to all players on your team. The title consists of a prefix and a suffix, which can be changed without spending substitution tokens. The prefix grants a bonus point multiplier for selecting heroes from a specific group. For example, “Gold” gives you an 8% bonus if your players select gold or brown heroes.

The suffix, on the other hand, rewards you with a multiplier for specific in-game situations, although, to be fair, these are all intentionally designed to be unlikely. For example, “Lucky” grants a 21% bonus if the match timer ends at the 8-minute mark. By carefully selecting the suffixes and prefixes for your title, you can maximize your TI 2026 fantasy points.

Emblems are a crucial part of the TI 2026 fantasy league. For each role, there are three emblems that track players’ in-game actions. In general, red emblems track farming, such as collecting emeralds, last hits, or killing creeps; green emblems track actions performed by all players: team fights, stuns, or killing Roshan; and blue emblems are most closely associated with the support role—collecting runes, placing wards, or using Smoke of Deceit.

Each emblem has a tier that increases the number of points by a certain percentage—from 10% for the first tier to 150% for the fifth.

In addition to everything else, emblems have properties that affect how they interact with one another. There are five types:

We recommend paying special attention to the emblems’ properties, as the right combinations will allow you to achieve the highest point multiplier.

Replacement tokens are provided for customizing emblems. Each player receives 40 tokens at the start of the period, which can be spent on changing emblem stats or properties. This allows you to adapt your team composition to specific in-game situations. For example, if your team’s support rarely captures warders, you can replace the blue emblem with that stat with another, more suitable one—such as placed wards. The number of tokens is limited, and they cannot be replenished. Players will receive an additional 30 tokens after the group stage concludes.

According to the scoring rules, for each role, each player’s points are calculated individually for every match in which they participated. Then, the average score of all players in that role is calculated, and this average determines the role’s final result for the match. To determine a role’s final result in a series, the two best games in terms of points scored in that series are taken into account. If a role participates in more than one series during a given period, the series with the best result will be used.

After the period ends, your points are compared to the results of other participants, and you are placed in a specific percentile. The higher the percentile, the greater the rewards. Players in the 100th percentile receive 12,000 Compendium Points. The top 100 players by points unlock access to the most valuable prizes, including a 12-month Dota Plus subscription, a Landscape Token, a 100% discount on a physical copy of the Aegis of Champions, and five Tyrian Regalia Immortal items.
