There definitely won’t be any major game patch for another couple of months. First, the event will continue (that’ll be in 15–45 days—Valve Time), and then the patch will come. I’d generally expect it in February or March. Minor patches with slight balance tweaks are possible at any time, but all these +-1 armor changes aren’t particularly interesting. So just chill for now.
Dota 2 is currently hosting the “Dark Carnival” event; after completing the first act, players saw a message about the upcoming continuation. The event began on June 25.
Earlier, active professional players speculated about the upcoming update. According to Team Yandex offlaner Ammar “ATF” al-Assaf, it’s too early to expect version 8.00. Patch 7.41, which removed hero aspects, was released in late March.
