Ace highlighted the five most underrated offlaners in Dota 2 Patch 7.41d

Team Liquid offlaner Marcus “Ace” Hölgard named the five most underrated third-position heroes in Patch 7.41d in a video on his personal YouTube channel.
About Undying
Undying is an incredibly strong laner and currently the toughest on difficult lanes. At high ranks, his win rate hovers around 53%. The entire hero is built around a single ability—Decay: it deals damage, steals power from every enemy hit, and costs next to nothing with a short cooldown.
Buy an early item for mana regeneration and spam Decay as soon as it’s off cooldown. By the 5-minute mark, the power gap will be so massive that enemies simply won’t be able to trade blows with you. For items, get Phase Boots, Soul Ring, and an early Blink Dagger as early as the 10th–12th minute. Jump onto your target while Flesh Golem’s ultimate is active, and enemies physically can’t do anything to you. From there, upgrade to Black King Bar, Shiva’s Guard, Scythe of Vyse, and Octarine Core. And his late-game innate ability, Ceaseless Dirge, provides an instant and free resurrection—use this for aggressive dives.
About Death Prophet
Most players see her win rate below 50% and pass her by, but they’re missing the point: she’s been buffed in three consecutive patches. In 7.41, she received +1 armor and faster projectiles; in 7.41a, Spirit Siphon’s mana cost was reduced from 80 to 60; and in 7.41b, the damage dealt by spirits from Exorcism was increased again. The win rate simply hasn’t had time to rise yet because players haven’t figured out the new build.
You simply level up Crypt Swarm for safe aggression and to push waves from 900 range, while Spirit Siphon makes you virtually invincible in close combat. At level 6, Exorcism takes down turrets in a matter of seconds. Get Phase Boots, Null Talisman, and Eul’s Scepter of Divinity—it provides mana regeneration, movement speed, and lets you use your Exorcism ultimate right while the item’s active ability is up. After that, buy Sange and Yasha, Blink Dagger, and Black King Bar.
About Night Stalker
Night Stalker’s main problem has always been farming: if the game dragged on, he’d fall behind and become useless. Now this weakness has been completely eliminated. Hunter in the Night has become an innate ability, attack and movement speed at night are granted for free starting at level 1, and Void with Aghanim’s Shard deals rapid area-of-effect damage. He can now farm creeps and the jungle with ease, which has raised his win rate to 54.6%.
The new ability, Midnight Feast, solves all resource issues: at night, you can eat a creep and restore up to 25% of your health and mana. For the build, go with Phase Boots, Soul Ring, Echo Sabre, and Blink Dagger. His key item in the mid-game is Nullifier. Charge in under Dark Ascension’s ultimate, cast Void, and activate Nullifier—supports can’t cast either Glimmer Cape or Force Staff and die instantly.
About Kunkka
Kunkka maintains a 52% win rate with a pick rate of less than 5%. The entire laning phase revolves around Tidebringer—free cleave damage with a 4-second cooldown and a bonus of up to +140 damage. You level it up first, finish off creeps, and simultaneously chip away at the enemy carry’s health with a single click. And his passive ability, Admiral’s Rumble, reduces incoming damage by 18%, allowing you to win trades that seemed lost.
The standard combo of X Marks the Spot + Torrent + Ghost Ship deals massive damage and provides control in team fights. Build Phase Boots, two Bracers, Blade Mail, and then upgrade to Aghanim’s Scepter—which grants an armada of ships—and Aghanim’s Shard—which adds a Tidal Wave. Round out your build with Black King Bar and Shiva’s Guard.
About Visage
He is the most underrated offlaner in Dota 2 right now: a 56–57% win rate with a pick rate of just 2%. In Patch 7.41, he was completely reworked: the Silent as the Grave Ability became innate, granting free flight over terrain every 45 seconds, and Aghanim’s Scepter adds invisibility and damage to the flight.
The hero’s power lies entirely in the auras and gargoyles from Summon Familiars. All your items and abilities, including Grave Chill, buff the birds. Build Tranquil Boots, Drums of Endurance (to upgrade to Boots of Bearing later), and Vladimir’s Offering—this provides massive damage and lifesteal for your entire army. In the late game, buy an Assault Cuirass, Pipe of Insight, or Aghanim’s Shard. The hero requires micro-management, but players who spend 10 games learning how to play him win 6 out of 10 matches.
