Here’s how to figure out which way Ame and his teammates will go today. GL plays well at a fast pace, while the Chinese team plays whenever they feel like it. Yesterday they looked like a team on the verge of disbanding—do we believe a miraculous transformation will happen today and they’ll easily take down the underdog? It makes sense for GL to play cautiously in a single-map series. But if they win one, they’ll likely take the series. Or a clean 2-0 from China, if yesterday was just an off day.
Aurora vs. Na’Vi (bo3)
Na’Vi has also started playing worse heading into the playoffs, with Niku’s slump being particularly noticeable. Aurora tends to be more relaxed at this stage and won’t freeze up, so unlike in the group stage, I expect them to take at least one map—and maybe even the series. 2-1
