Ame on Xtreme Gaming’s performance at the Esports World Cup 2026: “We’re not performing as well as we do in practice.”

Xtreme Gaming carry player Wang “Ame” Chunyi, in an interview at the 2026 Esports World Cup, spoke about Morphling’s strength, commented on Group A’s lineup, and explained that the team arrived in Europe early to better prepare for the tournament.
On Morphling
In my opinion, Morphling is a decent hero right now. He’s a bit weak in the early game, but he’s still strong in the late game.
On not wanting to change the teams in his group
It makes no difference; we’ll have to face them sooner or later anyway.
On practicing with European teams
We arrived two weeks before the tournament and managed to practice with some European teams. I’m satisfied with the results of our practice sessions, but for some reason, our performance at the tournament itself fell short of expectations. We’re not playing as well as we did in practice.
Xtreme Gaming advanced from Group A in fourth place with a 4-6 map record. Today at 2:00 p.m., the team will face PlayTime in a knockout match; the winner will be one step away from advancing to the playoffs. The Dota 2 Esports World Cup 2026 is taking place July 7–19 in Paris.
