In late September and early October, the most popular heroes in high-rank matches were Bounty Hunter, Outworld Destroyer, and Winter Wyvern. Statistics compiled by Dota2ProTracker.
In this range, Pudge, Rubick, and Outworld Destroyer were the most popular, with pick rates of 74%, 64%, and 62%, respectively. The leaders in win rate were Naga Siren (56%), Bounty Hunter (56%), and Enigma (55%).
In this segment, players most frequently picked or banned Bounty Hunter (70%), Phantom Lancer (66%), and Pudge (66%). As in the previous range, Bounty Hunter was among the most effective heroes—his win rate was 57%. He was followed by Chaos Knight and Meepo at 56%.
In this range, the most popular heroes were Bounty Hunter (88%), Winter Wyvern (69%), and Outworld Destroyer (69%). In terms of win rate, Enigma (62%), Wraith King (61%), and Meepo (60%) lead the pack; however, the latter two were picked fewer than 100 times, indicating an insufficient sample size. Among heroes with a sufficient number of games, Enigma is followed by Bounty Hunter (57%) and Oracle (56%).
Among the highest-ranked players, Bounty Hunter enjoyed almost universal popularity, being picked or banned in 95% of games, and this frenzy is explained by his win rate of 59%. Next on the list are Winter Wyvern (84% pick rate) and Outworld Destroyer (70%). The highest win rates, aside from BH, belong to Bristleback (62%) and Silencer (59%), but in terms of sample size, Anti-Mage (58%) and Spirit Breaker (56%) lead the way.
The demand metric has not changed significantly over the past week: Spirit Breaker, Rubick, Lifestealer, Disruptor, Undying, Kez, and Shadow Fiend each lost 0.2% in demand. In terms of win rate, Magnus, Rubick, and Silencer each gained 0.3%, while Io, Phoenix, and Bounty Hunter each lost the same amount; Lich’s win rate dropped by 0.4%.
The current patch is 7.41f, released after The International 2026 and ahead of PGL Wallachia Season 9. Following the conclusion of the September championship, esports host Jake “SirActionSlacks” Kanner called for nerfs to popular heroes to diversify the meta after the year’s biggest tournament.
