Astini on cheats in Dota 2: “Soon, all ranked games and online tournaments will become unplayable”
Team Nemesis coach Filipe “Astini” Astini Ribeiro commented on Telegram about his team’s victory in the South American qualifier for the Esports World Cup 2026.
We qualified for the EWC. I’m happy that in my very first qualifier after returning to the professional scene, I managed to make it to a very important LAN tournament. I was close to not qualifying. But I’m glad that ESL took our complaints seriously and implemented a check.
The South American region is rife with cheaters; at least half of the teams use them. I hope Valve takes notice of this. Pretending the problem doesn’t exist so it doesn’t get worse isn’t productive. Soon, all ranked games and online tournaments will become unplayable.
Team Nemesis defeated Estar Backs 3-1 and secured the region’s sole invitation. The Dota 2 tournament as part of the Esports World Cup 2026 will take place from July 6 to 18 in Paris.
