Axe has returned to Dota 2
On the evening of June 24, the Dota 2 developers restored the ability to select Axe in all game modes.
Instead of the hero’s usual model, a robotic version has been added to Dota 2, featuring a unique set of effects, voice lines, and ability icons, while the selection of cosmetic items remains locked. The character has a permanent “Hmmmmm” buff, and a question mark has appeared in his name.
Earlier, on the night of June 23, Valve released an update that removed Axe and disabled the selection of cosmetic items for him, replacing the hero with a “missing person” poster; however, the character remained available in Captain’s Mode.
