Bach on Vici Gaming: “Our main goal is to work on winning.”

Vici Gaming offlaner Zhang “Bach” Zhuidi spoke about the match in an interview following their victory over MOUZ in the group stage of the 2026 Esports World Cup and explained the reason for his dominance with Beastmaster on both maps.
On how he feels about the victory
I feel good. This win isn’t that important for our position in the group—we’re already in 3rd or 4th place—but it’s important for our confidence. We can win a series, which means we can perform better.
On the series against MOUZ
We still made a lot of mistakes on these two maps, but our main goal is to work toward winning, and we still need to work on some details. This series was a good experience, and we’ll watch the replays and draw conclusions.
On dominating the game with Beastmaster
On the first map, we were surprised that they picked Phantom Lancer as their last pick because he’s weak in the lane. I think, from a draft perspective, they picked heroes that were too weak in the lane. And on the second map, Beastmaster and Keeper of the Light are a strong combo that teams like BetBoom Team often pick. The result of the second map was what we expected, but their draft on the first map wasn’t good.
On expectations for the elimination matches
We need to play better in these actual matches. Maybe we feel more comfortable in scrims and public games, but tournament matches are a different story for us. We make mistakes we don’t usually make; everything feels different, and we need to work on that.
Today, Vici Gaming defeated MOUZ and secured third place in Group C of the 2026 Dota 2 Esports World Cup. As a result, the team advances to the survival matches, where they’ll compete for a spot in the playoffs.
