Yesterday, September 13, BetBoom Team announced that mid-laner Danil “gpk” Skutin had been placed on inactive status. Commentators Daria “Eiritel” Morozova and Vladislav “BLACKARXANGEL” Ivashchenko commented on the decision on their personal Telegram channels.
In addition to gpk’s play, Eiritel also commented on Vitaly “Save-” Melnik’s possible move to mid:

And here’s the first announcement from BetBoom Team
GPK is moving to the bench. One of the most consistent mid laners ever—he carried 1-9 in my memory. And this past year was the only time it felt like he was burning out.
I wonder how things will turn out if Save switches to mid. If I’m not mistaken, this is the first such position swap
BLACKARXANGEL gave a positive assessment of gpk’s decision to take a break:
GPK is taking a break—good call. You could tell he gave it his all—1,000,000%—on the Int, and burned himself out completely. Either he’s recharging or he’ll play really poorly for the rest of the season. We’re looking forward to his return!
gpk noted that he plans to be inactive until New Year’s and explained the reasons for the break: “I’m a little mentally and physically exhausted after two long seasons. The plan is to get my health back on track, go through a couple of checkups, stream some different games for you, and then return to competitive Dota with renewed energy.”
