Support player PARIVISION Andrei “Dukalis” Kuropatkin boasted about quickly getting an Arcana item on Drow Ranger:
I got a Drow Ranger from the 10th chest 😎
Otherwise, all the sets are as cool as Arcana items. I just wish it were a patch instead of a chest
Team Spirit analyst Mark “sikle” Lerman noted that sets from the treasure vault can no longer be gifted:
It’s an interesting decision to not allow gifting duplicates. Everyone’s probably really excited to grind for more chests so they can reforge them into yet another +1 duplicate 🧐
Commentator Gleb “y0nd” Vainov assessed the treasure chest’s contents:
For the first time in my life, I’M SEEING THE MOST *** [AWESOME] CHEST EVER, BY THE WAY!
Has anyone managed to get a set of 9–12/10
Arcana for themselves?
Former pro player Yaroslav “NS” Kuznetsov had an ironic take on the newly released chest:
They added an update with a CHEST to Dota. That’s it. From what I understand, it’s a Halloween-themed chest and, apparently, it’s pretty (haven’t looked at it yet), with some Arcana and so on. Basically, it’s the modern-day Dirtide—BUY THE CHEST, whatever. <...>
Commentator Rustam “Adekvat” Mavlyutov expressed regret that a balance patch wasn’t released alongside the chest:
Dota released an update... with cosmetics) They threw in some Arcanas and Immortals—basically, for anyone interested. Alas, there was no balance patch. Well then, let’s go get some loot
Commentator Dmitry “Mortalles” Arzhilovsky spoke positively about the treasure chest:
...> The Blast playoffs start tomorrow. It seems like the first hint of Tier 1 Dota in the new season. And an update just came out for it. No balance patch, but there’s a treasure chest. It’s a quality chest—I got lucky. Of course, I couldn’t resist and opened ten of them. I got a new Arcana for Tidehunter. That’s exactly what I was after. <...>
Professional player Danil “Dendi” Ishutin named his favorite sets from the Treasure Chest:
FINALLY, A NEW TREASURE CHEST IN DOTA 2.
Tidehunter and Shadow Shaman are my two favorite heroes. <...>
Previously, the developers released the Trove of Terror with Immortal and Arcana items. Players receive the Tormentor cosmetic for opening 12 chests, and Roshan and a courier for opening 40.
