DM on Saks: “In a way, he’s the brains of the team.”

Team Yandex offlaner Dmitry “DM” Dorokhin spoke during a live stream on the team’s Twitch channel about the notable differences between his team and others, reflected on roles within the team, and explained what he does as part of the roster.
On the difference between Team Yandex and other teams
The atmosphere is very, very relaxed and laid-back. It’s worth noting that the people on this team are just very, very calm. That’s what stands out, but otherwise, we’re just a regular team—we play Dota.
About his teammates
Saksa is the leader. He’s a very mature player with a wealth of experience—let’s put it that way.
He’s like a mentor. He knows the strategies from his past teams that we need to stick to, and he understands how Dota works very well. So, you could say he’s kind of the brains of the team.
As for Alima [watson], I guess you could describe him as laid-back. He’s a really relaxed, calm guy. Well, he’s probably one of the most laid-back carries without a huge ego—in fact, he’s the exact opposite.
I mean, he has a healthy ego, but at the same time, he’s super skilled and can pull off the clutch play.
On my role on the team
I’m probably more of an executor. Right now, the team already has a structure and ideas. Obviously, you can bring some ideas to the table, but in this team, I’m the one who follows the ideas of others. I follow the team’s vision and try to execute it. I’m trying to expand my pool of heroes, and I’m trying to develop as a player on a personal level, but I’m not the team’s “brain”—I’m not that kind of player right now.
Earlier, Dmitry “DM” Dorokhin spoke about his goals for his Dota 2 esports career: “To win as many tournaments as possible before this game stops being profitable in competitive play—you could put it that way. Obviously, it would be great to win the EWC and The International.”
