DM on Team Yandex in Dota 2: “The team itself is very laid-back, and everyone gets along well with each other.”
Team Yandex offlaner Dmitry “DM” Dorokhin spoke about the match and playing on Underlord in an interview following their victory over LGD Gaming in the group stage of the 2026 Esports World Cup.
On why the victory came so easily
I think we got the draft we wanted, and that team isn’t very good with Lone Druid, so we let them have him. We felt in control of the game right from the start.
On playing Underlord
I don’t play him in public matches because he’s a pretty weak hero, but in this particular game, he performed well.
On playing for Team Yandex
It’s great to be part of this team because the organization is pretty cool—it’s from my country. The team itself is very laid-back; everyone gets along well, and they play Dota 2 very well.
Earlier, Team Yandex support Martin “Saksa” Sazdov spoke about decision-making within the team, the team atmosphere, and their form heading into the Esports World Cup 2026, and also noted that Alimzhan “watson” Islambekov’s illness could have affected his performance.
