DM on Team Yandex: “I’ve already learned a lot on this team, even though it’s only been about two months.”

Team Yandex offlaner Dmitry “DM” Dorokhin spoke in an interview at the Esports World Cup 2026 about his move to his current team and shared his thoughts on his opponents.
On joining Team Yandex
It’s great because the team is full of strong players and wonderful people. I’m happy to have this opportunity.
On how his current team differs from previous ones
There’s more professionalism here: in communication, gameplay, and our approach to the game. I’ve already learned a lot on this team, even though it’s only been about two months. When you play Dota 2 with strong players, you grow every day, and that’s exactly what’s happening. We’re learning about new concepts and ideas, refining them, and that helps us get stronger.
On the attitude toward opponents
It’s easier for me not to think about my opponents. I don’t care what nickname I’m up against—Yatoro or Nightfall. I’m playing against Terrorblade. It’s better to play against the heroes and not worry about who’s on the other side.
On expectations for EWC 2026
We haven’t played in tournaments like this yet, so it’s too early to talk about winning. Right now, we need to focus on our performance in the playoffs, and I’m focused on my own game. If that turns out to be enough—great.
Team Yandex is currently playing against PARIVISION in the semifinals of the Esports World Cup 2026 Dota 2 playoffs. The winner will face BetBoom Team, and the loser will face Vici Gaming. The tournament’s prize pool is $2 million.
