ESIC has launched an investigation against DarkMago and Vintage. PlayTime’s player and coach have been suspended from the 2026 Esports World Cup.

The Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) has temporarily suspended two members of the PlayTime Dota 2 team—Oswaldo Gonzalo “DarkMago” Herrera Martínez and Juan David “Vintage” Angulo Nicho.
The decision was made as part of an investigation into the participants’ actions at the 2026 Esports World Cup. Both are prohibited from participating, directly or indirectly, in the tournament and in all events under the ESIC’s auspices until the investigation is complete. Vintage has also been barred from performing coaching, managerial, or any other team-related duties.
The reason is suspicion of violating ESIC’s anti-corruption rules and code of conduct. The commission emphasizes that guilt has not yet been proven; both players have already given testimony and were able to present their case. The suspensions will remain in effect until ESIC officially modifies or revokes them.
Earlier, the Esports Integrity Commission launched an investigation into the Clown Crew roster (formerly BarrancoBar) due to suspicious behavior by players in official matches and temporarily suspended the team from its tournaments.
