Fishman named the best support heroes in Dota 2 Patch 7.41e

Nemiga Gaming support player Dmitry “Fishman” Polishchuk named the best “fives” in Dota 2 Patch 7.41e on his Telegram channel.

The quote is reproduced with the source’s original spelling and punctuation

Hi everyone

Yesterday and the day before, people asked me several times on stream which position 5 heroes are currently in the meta. Let’s set the record straight here, and then I’ll know that anyone who keeps asking on the stream isn’t reading my channel (appropriate measures will be taken: I’ll dish out some slaps).

The top five teams in the current patch:

- Trent

- Bane

- Mirana

- Andaying

- Viverna

That’s it. The rest are either just trash, work better as supports, or are just clunky. And anyone who tries to tell me they’re tearing up pubs with their Shaman or Lion is just playing at low ranks. At those ranks, it’s basically *** [whatever]—you could even run a 5-man Anti-Mage team, but skill has always mattered more than the heroes themselves. But at high MMR—it’s only those 5 heroes I listed above.

Earlier, Fishman published a guide on Mirana in Patch 7.41e. The support player broke down ability and talent choices, farming, and items, and also named Aghanim’s Scepter as one of the reasons for the hero’s strength in the current version of Dota 2.
