GamerLegion defeated 1w Team at PARI UNIVERSE by FISSURE and advanced to the playoffs
GamerLegion defeated 1w Team in the group stage of PARI UNIVERSE by FISSURE. The match ended with a score of 2-0.
On the first map, GL held a slight lead until they expanded it following several key team fights. After that, the team solidified its lead, destroyed all of the opponent’s barracks, and emerged victorious. On the second map, the players from the German esports club gained an advantage from the lanes; in the mid-game, 1w prevented their opponent from pulling significantly ahead in gold, but in the late game, GL proved to be the stronger team.
Thus, 1w has yet to win a single map in the three days of the group stage. With their current stats, the team is in a precarious position: if they defeat Team Yandex tomorrow, they’ll have a chance to compete in a tiebreaker for a spot in the playoffs against an opponent in a similar situation. As for GamerLegion, the team has secured its spot in the knockout stage with its second win in the group.
PARI UNIVERSE by FISSURE is being held online from October 22 to November 1, with the organizers offering a $250,000 prize pool. All playoff participants will be determined early next week—the playoffs will begin on Wednesday.
