GamerLegion won its match in the group stage of the Esports World Cup 2026, while XG and BB played to a draw.

GamerLegion defeated Poor Rangers, while BetBoom Team tied with Team Falcons and Xtreme Gaming tied with Rune Eaters on the first day of competition at the 2026 Esports World Cup in Dota 2.

GamerLegion defeated Poor Rangers on both maps, finishing the first in 32 minutes and the second in 47.

Team Falcons ended the match in a draw. Danil “gpk” Skutin’s team won the first map, but in the second game, the Falcons set a fast pace and secured the victory over their opponent.

Xtreme Gaming finished the match with a 1-1 split. Rune Eaters won the first map, but in the second game, XG seized the advantage and defeated Abdimalik “Malik” Saylaw’s team.

Thus, in Group A, GamerLegion earned its first win, while Team Falcons, BetBoom Team, Xtreme Gaming, and Rune Eaters start the tournament with a 1-1 record, and Poor Rangers are at 0-2.

The EWC 2026 Dota 2 tournament is taking place from July 7 to 19 in Paris. Team Spirit received an invitation as the defending champion from the previous tournament; 12 other teams qualified through the ESL Pro Tour rankings; and the remaining 11 slots were filled by teams based on the results of regional qualifiers.
