Gorgc on the match against L1GA TEAM in the TI qualifiers: “Our chances of winning were 90%; it was a race for the ‘Throne.’”
Streamer Janne “Gorgc” Stefanowski, in a comment to Jake “SirActionSlacks” Canner, named Team Bald’s best match in the qualifiers for The International 2026.
Our best match was against L1GA; we played a single map. They were the best team in the qualifiers, and we came very close to knocking them out. We had a 90% chance of winning; it was a race for “Throne.” And if we’d advanced, we would’ve faced Topson and Arteezy’s stack—we would’ve completely destroyed them; that would’ve been so satisfying... But it didn’t happen.
The game was awesome. We still made it through the second qualifier and took first place, but I’m still missing that win over Topson.
Team Bald and L1GA TEAM faced off in the 1/32 bracket of the first open qualifier for The International 2026 in Europe. The Eastern European team secured the victory at the 71-minute mark. Gorgc’s team advanced to the closed qualifiers based on their results in the second open qualifier.
