gpk on the match against Vici Gaming at the 2026 Esports World Cup in Dota 2: “We’re going to crush them!”
BetBoom Team midlaner Danil “gpk” Skutin explained his choice of Lina and Slardar in the quarterfinals against Nigma Galaxy during an interview at the Esports World Cup 2026.
On his emotions after the quarterfinal victory
Everything’s great—I feel good. The Falcons are out, so I hope we’ll do well in the bracket.
On the choice of Lina
No, we weren’t copying anyone. I actually started playing Lina a very long time ago. I felt that this hero has a lot of potential, but I play a different build, and I think, in some ways, it’s even stronger in competitive Dota. But that’s just my personal opinion.
On Slardar
Personally, I hate this hero, but he works well for our team—it seems like we manage to win with him, so—why not?
On the upcoming match against Vici Gaming
We’re going to crush them!
The BetBoom Team vs. Vici Gaming match will begin tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. Moscow time. The winner will advance to the Dota 2 Esports World Cup 2026 finals, while the loser will be eliminated from the competition. This year, the tournament is being hosted in Paris—the organizers have moved the entire festival there.
