Korb3n revealed who could have replaced Yatoro if he had left: “Satanic, of course.”
Team Spirit manager Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov revealed during a Twitch stream who he might have brought in to replace Yatoro if he had left, explained the difference between Yellow Submarine and the club’s academy, and answered why Larl doesn’t play in streamer tournaments. A clip from the stream was posted on the LEGENDWP channel.
On a potential replacement for Yatoro
[Question: Who were you considering as a potential replacement for Yatoro?] Do you mean after Inta, if he were to leave? It doesn’t seem like he was planning to leave in the first place. Let me put it this way: he definitely wasn’t planning to. Well, Satanic, of course.
On mangekyou and the difference between Yellow Submarine and the Team Spirit academy
[Question: What do you think of mangekyou in the academy?] mangekyou is a strong player, and he’s already pretty much established himself. I don’t know. And he’s not in the academy—he’s on “Submarine.” That’s a strange question; I don’t know how to answer it. …>
What’s the difference? It’s that “Yellow Submarine” operates on a completely separate budget. It isn’t sponsored by Spirit in any way, at all. And it’s that at “Yellow Submarine” I’m the CEO, while at the academy I just scout players. The differences are significant.
As for the players we sign… Obviously, I sign players I’ve worked with before. That makes perfect sense, considering the market is tight and I don’t have the option to just go out and sign anyone I want. If we’re talking, roughly speaking, about Tier 2 players who are available at the time of signing, naturally I’ll give preference to those I’ve worked with and know what to expect from.
On Larl’s reluctance to play in Streamers Battle
Dan’s on the roster, yeah. It’s a bummer for him to have to play in every Streamers Battle. Nix himself invited him.
On the motivation to get into the academy
If you want to get into the academy and can’t even find the motivation for that, what are you going to do next? When you get tired of playing ten games a day, when things aren’t going your way, when your PTS isn’t going up, or when something else happens? It’s a lost cause—you’re better off doing something else.
Earlier, Korb3n mentioned that Team Spirit could have signed Evgeny “Noticed” Ignatenko, but the transfer didn’t happen. The manager also noted Bogdan “Batyuk” Batyuk’s strong performance.
