Liquid, Rune Eaters, and LGD Are One Step Away from the Playoffs — Results of Day 1 of the Survival Stage at the 2026 Esports World Cup Dota 2
The matches of the first day of the Dota 2 Esports World Cup 2026 survival stage have concluded. Match results and the schedule for July 15 are below.
Match Results
The match between PlayTime and Vici Gaming has been postponed indefinitely due to precautionary measures regarding fairness.
- Team Liquid 2:1 Xtreme Gaming;
- Virtus.pro 1–2 Rune Eaters;
- MOUZ 0–2 LGD Gaming.
Based on these results, Xtreme Gaming, Rune Eaters, and MOUZ are eliminated from the competition, while Team Liquid, Rune Eaters, and LGD Gaming advance to the second round of the survival stage, where they will compete for a spot in the playoffs.
Schedule for the second day of the survival stage
July 15, times are in Moscow time.
- 2:00 p.m. — BetBoom Team vs. LGD Gaming;
- 2:00 PM — 1w Team vs. the winner of the PlayTime vs. Vici Gaming match;
- 5:30 p.m. — Team Spirit vs. Team Liquid;
- 5:30 p.m. — Aurora Gaming vs. Rune Eaters.
The Dota 2 Esports World Cup 2026 is taking place in the French capital from July 7 to 19. Only 8 teams will advance to the playoffs, where they will compete for the tournament’s grand prize of $750,000 and 1,000 EWC Championship points.
