Rune Eaters coach Andrei “Mag” Chypenko took to X to comment on the team’s performance following their exit from the group stage of the 2026 Esports World Cup in Dota 2.
I’m very proud of my team and every player. We played well throughout the group stage and advanced to the survival stage. Now it’s time to focus on the next best-of-3 series and give it our all to make it to the playoffs.
Rune Eaters finished their run in Group A with a 5-5 map record, which secured them third place and a spot in the next round. Today at 2:00 p.m., the team will face Virtus.pro in a single-elimination match; the winner will be one step away from advancing to the playoffs.
