OG qualified for The International 2026 by defeating Grind Back in the final match of the Southeast Asia qualifiers. The Dota 2 community congratulated the team on making it to the tournament of the year.

Commentator Vladimir “Maelstorm” Kuzminov believes the team has a chance to finish in 5th or 6th place at the tournament of the year:

Well, without Toronto, they might actually pull it off. If they make it into the Prime, a top-6 finish is even a real possibility.

GLYPH coach Leon “Arthur” Li congratulated their qualifier opponent:

Congratulations to OG and 343! Well deserved. Make us proud.

Grind Back carry Nungnara “23savage” Tiramahano joined in the congratulations and said he’s proud of his team:

GG, congrats to OG. At least we managed to drag it out to TI (joke). I’m very proud of my team, even though we’ve only just started playing together.

In-game compilation creator Michael “TorteDeLini” Cohen assessed the region’s strength in light of OG’s victory:

Huge respect to all the guys from OG for advancing to the next stage. Southeast Asia is still full of fighting spirit, and I’ll be rooting for its success at TI!

Caster Mike “permasneeze” Tsang highlighted the contribution of the Western European club’s coach:

343 makes all the difference.

OG defeated Grind Back 3-1 and secured the region’s sole slot for The International 2026. Earlier this month, the club finalized the loan signing of Alexander “TORONTOTOKYO” Hertak.
