Team Yandex support Arman “Malady” Orazbaev commented on Vitaly “Save-” Melnik’s move to the second position on BetBoom Team during the team’s vlog at BLAST SLAM VIII.
Well, overall, I think he’s a really solid laner, but after the game, it seems to me… Or rather, after the laning phase, BetBoom Team plays kind of aimlessly. Based on my experience, I’d say that switching from the support role to the core role—I don’t know, it just doesn’t seem to work that way. I can’t even think of a pro player who’s done that and been successful. But switching from the carry role to the support role is no problem. I don’t know, I think they’ll make a change. Like, I think Save should play in the “four,” and they should, well, either pick a mid laner or wait for gpk. I don’t know how TORONTOTOKYO will affect this roster. Changes are always good if, say, they weren’t satisfied with last year’s performance. Replacing the coach is a good move, but Save- needs to be moved back to the “four.”
Team Yandex won BLAST SLAM VIII, defeating Team Spirit 3–1 in the grand final. The team earned $270,000 for their performance.
