Malady on Team Yandex’s missing titles: “Only the EWC and The International remain for us.”

In their final vlog from BLAST Slam VII, Team Yandex players commented on their victory over BetBoom Team and summed up the tournament.
On the victory over BetBoom Team in the upper bracket
Malady: It was just an interesting game. We played for 60 minutes, lots of map picks, lots of randomness. It was just fun; we enjoyed the moment. The emotions were the same as after a regular win. I think tomorrow’s emotions will be more intense, because tomorrow is the grand final.
Saksa: The score should have been 2-0; we just messed up big time in the first game, even though we had a huge advantage. Well, I think everyone’s happy today anyway. <...> I think we just got too scared. We had a significant advantage, but we didn’t apply pressure, let them farm, and then got a little tilted. The situation got out of control.
On the Grand Final, if BB Team had played instead of LGD Gaming
[Question: “Do you think it would have been harder if BetBoom had been in the final instead of LGD?”]
CHIRA_JUNIOR: I don’t think so. I think it would be easier against BetBoom.
DM: I think the draft would have been easier against BetBoom. BetBoom’s laning phase might have been stronger, but the draft phase would have been easier, I think.
On the results of BLAST Slam VII
Malady: All the guys did a great job; they really gave it their all. There were a lot of setbacks during this tournament, starting even from the group stage; there were a few conflicts, but we overcame everything, handled it all—and here we are. We’re the champions.
Supporters, fans—all these victories are thanks to you. If it weren’t for you, we wouldn’t have achieved any of this. What can I say, over the course of this year we’ve won practically every tournament: DreamLeague—first place, BLAST—now we have first place, PGL—first place there too. Only EWC and The International are left. Let’s hope these tournaments aren’t an exception and we’ll take first place there as well. Thank you, keep watching us.
Team Yandex took first place at BLAST Slam VII, defeating LGD Gaming 3-1 in the grand final. The players will receive $300,000 for first place, with an additional $100,000 awarded to the club. Next, the team will compete at the Esports World Cup 2026 and The International 2026.
